Plant a Church - Colorado

Fort Morgan, Colorado

Church Planting Opportunity in Fort Morgan, Colorado

About the Rocky Mountain District

One of the core values of the RMD is church planting. This flows out of a conviction that the Church should always be expanding, should always be communicating the message of Jesus in word and deed, and should always be reproducing leaders. The Rocky Mountain District includes the states of Colorado, Wyoming, and the Black Hills Region of South Dakota. Because of the energy industry, the state of Wyoming is growing rapidly as well as Colorado. Many communities are seeing huge influxes of people moving in from all over the country. What a great opportunity we have to impact these areas for Christ and His kingdom! As one of the 17 districts of the EFCA, the RMD has continued to emphasize the value and importance of church planting.

We currently have four plants and one new project, as well as four ethnic plants. In addition, we are beginning our first church planting residency this month in Pueblo. Our goal is to eventually provide at least five residency church locations throughout the district to provide hands on ministry training and support for new church plants. Our conviction is that church planting is a natural result of accomplishing our mission which is multiplying transformational churches among all people.

Our Church Planting Philosophy

The RMD mission is to multiply disciple making leaders! This mission emerges from a conviction that the Church is called to make disciples of all nations. When the Church is effective in winning people to Christ, building up new believers in their faith, equipping the saints for the work of ministry, and multiplying leaders, the end result will be new churches! And so, our vision is to be a movement made up of church planting churches, leaders reproducing leaders, and all peoples being reached for Christ.
